Obituary for Larry Levell "Gear Jammer" Pearson
Memorial Services for Mr. Larry L. “Gear Jammer” Pearson, 70 of West Monroe, LA, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Ron Lowe officiating.
Mr. Pearson was born on June 2, 1944 in East Carroll, LA and passed away on December 3, 2014 in West Monroe, LA. He retired from MTM Trucking Company. Mr. Pearson was a member of Transylvania Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially trips to Waffle House drinking coffee with his sons. Mr. Pearson is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Cordell Pearson and Ethel Marie Austin Pearson; two brothers, Tommy Edward Pearson and Jerry Ray Pearson; and granddaughter, Cheyann Lynn Pearson.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Luvinia Pearson; four children, Diane Bell, Larry Thomas Pearson, Sr., Barbara Ann Pearson, and Gary Allen Pearson, Sr. and his wife Stacy Lynn Pearson; 48 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren with six on the way; two sisters, Barbara Ann Taylor and Pamela Sue Caldwell and her husband Ted; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon McBee, Alton Stanley, Jr. Gary Pearson, Jr., John Goodman, Dustin Haynes,Charlie Tedeton, Sam Wibowo and Larry Thomas Pearson, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe.
