Memorial services for Ms. Laura Lee Ray of West Monroe, LA will be 6:00pm Friday, January 12, 2018 at New Hope Worship Center 605 Martin St. West Monroe, LA with Rev. Charlotte Gerhardt officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.
Ms. Ray was born November 30, 1964 in York, AL and passed from this life on January 9, 2018 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 53. She enjoyed quilting, drinking coffee, fishing and she loved the outdoors. She was a free-spirited person and very talented, especially with arts and crafts and cutting and styling hair. She had a very great sense of humor and had an answer for everything whether you wanted it or not. “Your opinion, my opinion, and the truth”.
She is preceded in death by her father, Glenn Williams; her son, Heath Ronald Willson; her brother, Curtis; and her sister, Tyanne Noland.
Survivors include Trinity, her partner in life; her children, Levi Willson and Meghan Lavery of West Monroe, Glenn Ray of Oklahoma City, OK, Sara Czarniak of Virginia and Jadah Ray of West Monroe; her mother, Patsy Price of Burns Flat, OK; her sisters, Sonora White and husband, Rick of Ft. Cobb, OK, Sonseria Moore and husband, Orville of West Monroe, and Brenna David of Virginia; one brother, Antony Carl Williams and wife, Linda of Pell City, AL; five grandchildren, Hailey Brooke Willson, Kaiden Levi Willson, Tyler Heath Willson, Slevin Lucian Kane Willson and Xyler Wayne Willson; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
