Melvin Bernard Balsamo
A celebration of life for Mr. Melvin Bernard Balsamo of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00am Sunday, March 4, 2018 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 9:00am until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Balsamo was born April 24, 1956 in West Monroe, LA and passed from this life on February 24, 2018 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 61. He was a talented cook and he loved westerns. He was a very generous person that would give anything to help others. He will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Bessie Balsamo; one brother, Vincent Charles Balsamo, Jr., and half-sister, Lucille.
Survivors include two daughters, Toni Lynn Stephens and Elizabeth Evelyn Balsamo both of West Monroe; one son, Charles Ellis Balsamo of West Monroe; two sisters, Delia Faye Jones of Arkansas and Gaylen Bertell Stump of West Monroe, one brother, Calvin Barton Balsamo of West Monroe; six grandchildren, Brittany Lynn, Trey Monroe, Tyler Monroe, Hannah Elena, Zackery Taylor and Elijah Vincent; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
