Obituary for William "Bill" Boatright

William L. Boatright, Sr. of West Monroe was born September 2, 1947. He passed on to be with our lord on December 20, 2020. He was known as “Bill” to many.

Due to COVID, the family will have a private graveside service at a later date.

He was an auto mechanic and wrecker driver. Bill was a Vietnam Veteran and loved talking to friends on his ham radio. He loved his family and cats.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, W.E. “Red” Boatright of Noxapater, MS; mother, Laverne Boatright Hasley of Monroe; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Walter L. Dopson of Mer Rouge.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carolyn Boatright of West Monroe; son, William L. Boatright, Jr.; daughter, Talithia Grubbs; 3 sisters, Annita Lovelady Morris, Lois Mercer and husband Ronnie of Mangham, and Carolyn Copple of Monroe; 4 granddaughters, 3 great-granddaughters. 2 great-great-grandsons and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
