To OUR Father

-To the toughest man we know

The day you came to this earth was a blessing for all
You loved, worked, catered, protected, and never let anyone see you fall
Upon the 3 of us, you left many traits
Some more prominent in one child or the other
Your oldest, you left a spitting image and looks to die for
Your middle child, you left the most amazing and infectious laughter
And for your baby, you left your free spirit.
But in the 3 of us, you left some very strong traits behind
Traits that’s are so prominent to you that no one has to search to find
The strength of an Ox
The feistiest of attitudes with the slickest of tongues
The ability to weather any storm that comes
But, there is one thing that you possess that you haven’t bestowed upon any of us
Although right now we are sad and continue to cry
We are blessed and happy for OUR Angel who gained his wings
Because we know only the worthy and the truly ready can fly

We love you daddy,
Regina, Warren, & Katlyn
