Graveside service for Mr. Terry Wayne Bridges of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, March 15, 2020 at Mulhearn Memorial Park, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Terry was born June 24, 1953 and passed from this life May 13, 2020 at the age of 66.
Once you met Terry, you would not forget him, but most importantly, he never forgot you. The phrase ‘shirt off one’s back’ is only the beginning of describing what kind of man Terry was. He would give you his shirt, shoes, last meal, his home, his car, and overall, his dedication and attention. Terry loved without prejudice, he was the epitome of ‘forgive and forget’, and a fierce protector of his family. He loved his children and grandchildren with "all of his heart". He lived the example of what a good man should be. Once you were family, you were family forever, no matter what. He was a caretaker, a philosopher, an entertainer. He loved to make you laugh and had a presence of joy and happiness when he was around. Even when Terry was down physically, he put everyone else in his life first. The number of people who’s life he touched, who are forever grateful for those moments he was there when it seemed like no one else cared, those he devoted his time to ensuring they knew they were not alone, the people he stood up for and made the hard decisions for – are countless.
