Obituary for Taylor Gray Roberson
Celebration of Life for Taylor “Pappy” Gray Roberson, age 80 of Downsville, La will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Living Waters Full Gospel Church in Ruston, La with Brother Scott Jennings officiating.
Taylor Gray Roberson was born on April 4, 1940 and passed from this life on September 19, 2020. Taylor was a member of Living Waters Full Gospel Church in Ruston, La. He was a carpenter, salesman, gardener, and jack of all trades. He loved to hunt, fish, make fishing lures, cook, can jelly and pickles and visit with family and friends. He never met a stranger and tried to never miss an opportunity to witness to everyone he met.
Taylor is preceded in death by his parents: Henry Gray and Martha Artis Roberson.
Taylor was survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Wyvone Powe Roberson of Downsville, La. His Sons: Michael Roberson (Cathy) and Randal Roberson of Downsville, La. His daughter: Linda Gortemiller (Kenneth) of Downsville, La and Step-children: Ricky Powe (Melissa) of Downsville, La and Portia Cassels (Gary) of Grayson, La. His siblings: Martha Walsworth (Gary) of Downsville, La and Gerald “Jerry” Roberson (Mary) of Hope, Arkansas.
Grandchildren:
Chris, Holden, and Josh Roberson, Shelbi, Kelsey, Chase, and Keriann Cassels, Joshua Cook (Holly), Kandis Smith (Paden), Kayla Reynolds, Rachelle Jones (Damian), Alexis Smith (Nick). Twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
