Obituary for Stan Harper

Visitation for Stan Harper 83, West Monroe, LA. Will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 12 pm funeral following at 2 pm. Visitation and Services will be held at Griffin Funeral Home of West Monroe under the direction of Pastor Justin Usleton and Pastor Eugene Brown.
Mr. Harper was born September 28, 1939 in Crowville, Louisiana. He went to meet his Heavenly Father on September 29, 2022 after a sudden illness. Mr. Harper cherished his wife and his family dearly. He loved God and was a teacher of the gospel. He attended Rocky Branch Assembly of God Church where he worshiped and created many lasting relationships. He never met a stranger and would witness to any person who would listen. He enjoyed gardening and all sports from nascar to boxing. His personality was huge and his love for life and people was even larger.
Mr. Harper began his career in finance and co owned Harper Bros Carpet with his brother Billy. In 1998 he began investing in property and managing rentals. He purchased a large mobile home park and continued managing rental property and working on multiple projects enjoying each one hands on.
He is preceded in death by his parents , Jeston J. Harper and Lucile Martin Harper, Brother, James L. Harper and wife Pat

He is survived by his wife of 26 years Ruth Diane Harper. Brother, Billy Harper and wife JoAnn. Children; Terri Nordan and husband Darrell, Mark Harper, Jeff Harper and wife Jeannie, Susan Schofield and husband Scott.
Step Children: Gloria Teer and husband Mike, Rebecca Watts and husband Tim, Angela Clark and husband Darrell, Lucy Smith and husband Quentin, Lisa Rogers and husband Clay.
His life was full of love from many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
