Obituary for Sherie Jane Wingfield
Memorial service celebrating the life of Sherie Jane Wingfield will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, October 24, 2022 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA.
Family will receive friends for visitation 1:00pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Sherie born on October 23rd 1957 to the union of Vance & Dolly Wingfield went to be with her Lord & Savior on 10.18.2022 at the age of 64 after an extended illness. Sherie graduated from West Monroe High school. Sherie worked as a housekeeper at a local hotel and had various other odd jobs throughout her life. Her favorite past time was spending time with the love of her life Rodney Norman they loved sitting on the porch every evening watching traffic and listening to really loud classic rock & roll. Sherie had a real affection for animals especially her cat Ozzy and dog, Gene Simmons. Sherie loved life and even after her health started failing she still found joy in the daily activities, rarely did you see her when she wasn’t smiling. October was her favorite month because it’s her birthday month and Halloween .She loved getting her costume on even when she couldn’t get out of bed. She was very free with her words of affection and never hesitated to tell you she loved you. Sherie has been blessed to have some amazing caregivers over the years that truly enriched her life. Left to cherish her memory are a host caregivers and friends. Sherie was preceded in death by her parents and her lifelong partner Rodney Norman.
