Obituary for Shelly Jo Antley

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Shelly J Antley. She was truly a one of a kind person. If you knew Shelly, you know she had a great heart. She would have given you the shirt off her back if you needed it.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Bernard and Betty Antley, who we know she is reunited with now which is all she ever wanted. Shelly never had children of her own, but that didn’t stop her from loving her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews like her own.
Survivors left to cherish the memory of Shelly are her sisters, Sherry Walker and husband Ron of Monroe, LA and Jane Phillips and husband Jonathan of West Monroe, LA; and brothers, Bobby Antley and wife Carla, and Richard Antley and wife Lisa all of West Monroe, LA. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.

Shelly faced many hard times during her life, but that ever affected her kind, meek attitude. Matthew 18:3 says, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” Shelly had the heart and innocence of a child. We know she is now at rest and at peace.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to St. Jude in Shelly’s honor. www.stjude.org/
