Obituary for Sharon "Shay" Denise Robertson
Funeral service celebrating the life of Sharon “Shay” Denise Robertson of Wisner, LA. Will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, June 11, 2022, in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA. With Rev. Mack Bellmore officiating.
Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in Clarks, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends for visitation 12:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Shay was born August 22, 1969, and passed from this life June 2, 2022, at the age of 52.
She was the third child born into Roy & Sharon’s branch of the Robertson family tree. Finding instant friends in her older sister Robin and brother Roy Jr., their family was complete a year later when her baby brother Dock joined the crew. Growing up in South Louisiana allowed for a childhood filled with fishing, boating, frog, and gator catching. After school, Shay lived in Germany as a military spouse. There, she started her own branch of the family tree and had her first child. Two daughters, one son, and nine grandchildren later; Shay left this world a little better than she found it. Shay could drive. Something she did carefreely and with ease. She could make riding with the windows down and the music up seems like more than just a task to get you from point A to Z. Shay could put on her makeup with no mirror. She could lite a cigarette in the wind. And the girl could talk for hours! Sitting on the porch and talking with friends/family was her favorite pass time. She will be sorely missed by those that loved her.
