Funeral services celebrating the life of Sandra Townsend Reed “Sandy”, 75, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, February 2, 2023, in the Chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA, 71291 with Steven Lee, officiating. Interment will follow at Chatham Cemetery in Chatham, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
Sandy Reed was born in Burney, CA on June 3, 1947, and passed away on January 29, 2023, in West Monroe, LA. She retired after 35 years of employment with State Farm in Monroe, LA, making life-long friends while there. Sandy enjoyed spending time with friends and family and also enjoyed playing Pokeno.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Elma Townsend.
She is survived by her daughter, Carla Townsend, two grandsons, Cameron Cobb and Bentley Cobb and her two fur babies, Jia and Toto.
Sandy will be remembered by her long-time friend, Debi Wrinkle and many other bonus children and grandchildren that loved her, fiercely.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Susan Ellis for everything she did for Sandy. The family would also like to thank the Guest House Nursing & Rehabilitation and Elara Caring for their care and comfort in her final days.
Pallbearers will be Cameron Cobb, Wade Cobb, Jay Wrinkle, II, Eli Johnson, Jay Wrinkle, III and Brandon Audirsch. Honorary pallbearer will be Brent Barnett.
