Obituary for Samuel David Dickey
Memorial service celebrating the life of Samuel David Dickey of Eros, LA will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 15, 2020 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe.
Samuel was born December 12,1953 and passed from this life August 11, 2020 at the age of 66 after a long illness. He is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Dickey; children, Samantha Dickey and Brandon Dickey; parents, Roscoe Dickey Sr. and Betty Dickey and siblings, Roscoe Dickey, Jr. and Evelyn Dickey.
He is survived by step-daughter, Mary Lites and husband Mike; grandchildren, Jennaka Miller, Jayde Dickey, Cade Barmore, Makayla Williams, Chase Crecelus and daughter -in-law, Summer Hyatt. He is also survived by siblings Janice (Harry) Wetzel of Strasburg, VA, Yvonne Gordon of Chester Gap, VA, Linda Dickey of St. Louis, MO, Diann (Robb) Harrelson of Independence, LA, Jerry Dickey of Tickfaw, LA, Annette (Jimmy) Briant of Covington, LA and Patricia (Tim) Cummins of St. Louis, MO; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and long-time best friend who was like a brother, Greg Welch.
