Russell “Russ” Mitchell

Russ, a broadcast manager for KNOE AM/FM and WNOE AM/FM, was born on November 30, 1952 in Reserve, NM to the union of Ruby Caroll Mitchell and Otis Mitchell, and passed from this life on December 4, 2019 in West Monroe, LA. Russ is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Otis Mitchell.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Lori Mitchell; his very special niece, Barbara Mitchell, who unselfishly donated a kidney to Russ that allowed him to maintain a better quality of life. He will also be deeply missed by his lifelong friend, Larry Rhymes and a host of cousins and other relatives.
The family would like to thank Dr. Larry Olinde with Renal Associates and the nurses and techs at Ouachita Dialysis Center along with Dr Shaffei and all the nurses and caregivers who took care of Russ over the years.
