Ronald Neil Wolfe passed away at his home on Friday, June, 19, 2020, in Monroe, LA. He was born on January 21, 1942 and was a man of many talents, abilities and loves. Growing up in Florida and living most of his life in the Sunshine State, Ron loved the water and everything about it - fishing, lobster diving and beach volleyball. He loved photography, flowers and had a gift for making conversation. Ron really loved people and never met a stranger. If you knew him, you have probably heard some of his funny sayings more than once! - "If you're gonna be dumb, you've gotta be tough!," "That's Mr. Fat Boy to you!" and "Does that beard hide the ugly?!" Most of his sayings made the listener do a double-take, questioning "what did he mean by that" before realizing his dry sense of humor already brought about its intended response - an ice-breaking smile. His ability to start a conversation built his career with Bell South/AT&T for 32 years, starting in the mailroom and working his way up to the marketing department, one conversation at a time.

Ronnie's silliness especially extended to the grandchildren he adored. He called them George, Henry or Pasquale, even though not one of them was named anything close. They even began to return the joke by calling him Papa George. Ron & Nancy opened their home to four adopted children, which in and of itself expresses the love he held for his most important life mission, building his family. The Wolfe family has so many years of fun vacation memories, over-the-top parties, deep conversations and awkward laughs to remember him by and his presence will everyday be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin & Bernice Wolfe, as well as his son-in-law, Benji Aymond. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Wolfe, his sister & her spouse: Elsa & Marvin Apte; his children & their spouses: Ronna & Brian Paxton, Theresa & Dennis Poole, Johnny & Meredith Wolfe, Shannin & Alex Moreau, and Sandi Aymond; those ten treasured grandchildren and so many cousins, nieces and nephews who undoubtedly have memories of their own.

Because adoption was dear to him, please donate to the Baptist Children's Home or reputable adoption agency in lieu of flowers.
