Memorial Services for Monell Coons of Farmerville, LA will be 2:00pm on Friday April 19, 2019 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home 911 Warren Dr. West Monroe with Rev. Robbie Lawson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Monell was born on July 19, 1940 in El Dorado, AR and passed from this life on April 13, 2019 at the age of 78. She was a hairdresser that brought out the beauty of those who came to see her.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, James Levi Coons; her children, Leroy John Young, Jr. and Sharon Laronne Young; her parents, Luther and Dorothy Bass; her brothers and sisters, Linda Ann Bass, Mary Lee Bass, Steve Bass, Buddy Bass, Bobbie Jean Bass, and Buster Bass.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Shari Ouchley and husband, Stan, Danny Young, Susan Stratton and husband, Tom, Wendy Perkins and husband, Damin, James Davis and wife, Mindy; her brothers and sisters, Vickie Diane Godina and husband, John, Peggy Sue Johnson and husband, Charlie, and Bo Bass and wife, Glory; also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
