Melinda was born January 22, 1976 in Monroe, La to Jimmy Caples and Nancy Menshew (Caples) Wilson and passed from this life on December 6, 2020 in Shreveport, La at the age of 44.

She is preceded in death by her father Jimmy Dale Caples, paternal grandparents Howard and Versie Caples, and maternal grandmother Juanita Markland.

Survivors include her husband Jim Sites, children Brooklynn and spouse Flavio Rosales, CJ Cobbs, Breana Cobbs and fiancé Byron and Alayna Cobbs, stepchildren Jake Sites and Barbra Dubois, Mother Nancy Wilson, sister Traci Ashing, grandchildren Isabella and Mia Rosales, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Our mother enjoyed spending her time reading, gardening, time with her family, and finally learning to cook.

Her grandchildren were her best friends. The last 5 years of her life were spent with her loving husband. She is now reunited in heaven with her dad who she missed so much.

I always remember her love for her children. When I was a child, I remember her always doing her daughters’ hair. And as I’ve grown, I always remember running into her. Her face always had a smile.
