Obituary for Mayo Arza Whitton
Funeral service for Mr. Mayo Whitton, 67, of West Monroe, LA will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, with Bro. Roger Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery-Rayville, LA, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Mr. Whitton, a machine operator for Riverwood International and project manager for Sears, was born on December 10, 1951 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on October 23, 2019 in West Monroe, LA. He loved being involved in sporting activities with his boys, mowing and working in the yard, tinkering with antiques, and working on cars. Mayo served in the United States Army, loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was on outdoorsman and enjoyed his community.
Mr. Whitton is preceded in death by his parents, Shiras Gladden Whitton and Effie Elaine Mayo Whitton; sister, Vicki Stuart; and brother, Billy Joe Whitton.
He is survived by his wife, Dea Marie Whitton; children, Cody William Whitton (Rhianna), Shiras Gladden Whitton (Caylea), Christian Michael Whitton (Tiffany), Jennifer Whitton, and Mayo Arza Whitton, Jr; and grandchildren, Rylance, Braxton, Emerson, Cash, Adeline, Allyson, Axel, Ace, and Dylan. He is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to honor the memory of Mr. Whitton will be Bennie Whitton, Dennie Whitton, David Reese, Darren Walsh, Danny Naber, and Corey Whitton.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
