She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was loved by her family, her chosen girls, and her many friends. She had a great sense of humor and fun.

Family gatherings were filled with food, fun and laughter. The Thompson Family Cookbook was the result of these many family get-togethers. She was known as the Queen of the Red Velvet Cake. She was an avid quilter, something she enjoyed with her daughters and quilting friends. She was a long-time member of the North Louisiana Quilters Guild.
