Obituary for Mary Joyce French Frost
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Joyce French Frost of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Fish Net Worship Center near Eros with Bro. Ron Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery near Eros under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until time of service Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Frost was born September 1, 1936 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on April 14, 2021 in Monroe, LA at the age of 84. After she graduated high school, she attended nursing school and graduated as an LPN, and then worked at St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was an active participant in the Home Economics Clubs and Expos for many years. Her favorite pastime was reading, she enjoyed bowling and was a member of different bowling leagues where she bowled a perfect 300 score many times. She will be missed by all who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ellis Ray Frost; her parents, William and Edith French; and her siblings, Jack French, Audra Taylor, Janice Sullivan, Laverne McNeese and Eugene French.
Survivors include her children, Marianne Frost, Beth Crain and husband, Marvin; five grandchildren, Robby Smith, Ryan Smith, Jamie Smith, Jonathon Crenshaw and Natalie Devillier; six great-grandchildren, Amaya Smith, Trevor Smith, Lane Crenshaw, Hunter Smith, Brantley Smith and A.J. Devillier; her siblings, Norman “Buddy” French and wife, Berta, Bonnie Culpepper and husband, Jimmy, and Charles French; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Robby Smith, Ryan Smith, Jonathon Crenshaw, Lane Crenshaw, Marvin Crain and Walter “Jack” Taylor.
