Services celebrating the life of Marlon (Pete) Morand Jarrell Jr. will be held at Eros United Pentecostal Church on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Ernest Twiner and Bro. Ronald Harper officiating. Graveside prayer and burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Eros, La, led by Bro. Ricky Long. Visitation with the family will be held the night prior, Sunday, June 23, 2019 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Eros United Pentecostal Church.
Marlon Jarrell Jr., informally known as Pete, was born January 21, 1972 in West Monroe, Louisiana and passed away June 20, 2019. Pete was a member of the Eros United Pentecostal Church and loved his job in small business sales at Centurylink. In his off time he was passionate in being involved in church, spending time with his dogs, Shadow and Lucy, watching NASCAR and rooting for his favorite college football team, LSU. He had an undying love for his wife, Wendy and their daughter Yasmeen.
Pete is preceded in death by his brother Charles Edwin Jarrell; his mother Norma Faye King; his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Rushing; and his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jarrell.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Wendy Jarrell of Eros, La, and their daughter Yasmeen Dickerson and her husband Michael, of Monroe, La. His sister Angela Hemperley, and her husband Richard, of West Monroe, La. His brother Wesley King, and his wife Shanda, of Vidalia, La. His Father Marlon Jarrell Sr., and his wife Debra, of Eros, La. His in-law’s William and Sandra Polzin, of Milwaukee, Wi. His brother-in-law Brian Polzin, of Milwaukee, Wi. He had numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends as well.
Pallbearers’ include James Gainous, Jeremy Gainous, Nathan Hemperley, Richard Hemperley Jr., Jeff McMurray, Baron Rushing, Jeffery Zeigler, and Steven Zeigler.
