Lonnie Wayne Hutto was born in Monroe, LA on April 30, 1950, to James A. and Mavis H. Hutto and passed away July 12, 2022, after a long struggle with multiple medical issues. One of his greatest desires in life was to make the Gospel of Christ available to as many people as possible, and to accomplish that, he worked with many small Christian schools, churches and non-profit organizations all over the southeast U.S. to construct Christian radio stations and put them on the air. People from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Georgia have had the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel because of Lonnie's obedience to follow the path God marked out for him.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Mavis Hancock Hutto; grandparents Benjamin and Eunice Martin Hutto, and Ferris and Zella Gates Hancock

He is survived by his wife Debbie Powell Hutto; children Kim Hutto Holley and husband Todd; Chris Hutto and wife Amy; Connie Hutto White and husband Chris; granddaughters Morgan Holley and Emma Hutto; sisters Joan Hutto McPherson and husband David, and Betty Hutto Price; brother Max Hutto and wife Patty; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Lonnie's family would like to thank Dr. Dean Stockstill for his years of excellent care and the wonderful staff at Hospice Compassus for their compassion and care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons, Compassion International, or Samaritan's Purse.
