Obituary for Lois Lozell Flowers
Funeral services for Lois Lozell Flowers will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA. Family will receive guest at 2:00 until time of service. Interment will be at Holly Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Jagers Lane, Holly Ridge, LA following service.
Lois Flowers was born March 11,1925 in Dubach, LA and passed away on January 29, 2023 at the age of 97. Mrs. Flowers was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed reading as long as her vision would allow it. She was a very thorough Sunday School Teacher at Community Baptist Church and enjoyed studying almost as much as she did teaching. She was a member of Community Baptist Church and was very proud of the fact that she was on the committee that called Bro. Danny McIlveene to pastor the Church. During the holidays it was always her treat to host and feed the whole family.
Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Flowers; parents Sam Houston and Lilie Jones; Daughter Sherry June Arrant; Brothers, Connie Jones and Jim Jones; Sister, Emma Lee Pilgreen.
Mrs. Flowers is survived by son, Keith Dwain Flowers (Bettye) and daughter, Carla Amelia Lawson (Ron). Grandchildren, Kelly Robinson (Michael), Amanda Helton (Carl), Jennifer Logan (Rusty), Larry Arant, Tim Arant (Sephanie), David Lawson (Taylor), 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Dale Jones, Gary Smith, David Lawson, Mike Jones, Ron Lawson and Larry Arant.
The family would like to thank Stoney Brook, Ascend Hospice, and Annette Branco for their love, care and compassion shown to their mother during her final illness.
