L.D. Smith was a huge part of my teenage years. He and I always had some interesting conversations. He always cared about everyone and was interested in everything you had to say. I have always loved him and I will miss him even though I haven’t seen him in close to 20 years.

LD was one of the kindest people you would ever run into, always willing to talk and listen like you were his best friend! His wife Sandy was the sunshine in his day and it showed on his face and the way he loved sharing his life with her.... we will miss him until we meet again!

A true gentleman who I am glad to say was a friend. I will always be grateful to LD for going by my Mother's house to check her A/C and heater every year after my Dad died, and would never charge her. We had many good talks about deer hunting, rifles, etc.
Rest in peace LD.
