Obituary for Laurie Jane Matthews King
Private family gathering for Laurie Jane Matthews King of West Monroe, LA will be held at a later date.
Laurie was born July 29, 1970 and passed from this life May 31, 2021 at the age of 50.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two children, Macie Miller and Chris Arender; parents,
Richard and Margaret Matthews; brother, Richard Thomas Matthews, Jr., grandmother, Frances Wright Swanson, and three grandchildren, Reagan King, Aryn Arender, and Kolbie Miller; also survived by her church family at Christ Church and a host of extended family and friends.
Laurie wanted everyone to celebrate the fact that she has had the ultimate healing from illness and pain.
She is now rejoicing with the Lord and as her 5 year old granddaughter says, "YaYa is now baby Jesus's YaYa"
Donations can be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital in Memory of Laurie King and in honor of Laurie's granddaughter, Reagan King.
