Obituary

Larry Paul Lemoine, Sr., age 66, of West Monroe, LA, was born on May 23, 1953 in New Orleans, LA and passed from this life on April 30, 2020. The family will be having a private celebration of his life at a later date.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Jules Lemoine, Sr., and Josephine Mitchell Lemoine; brother, Jules Jr.; sister, Cheryl Garcia.

Survivors left to cherish their memories of him include his wife of 20 years, Kathryn Kostelka Lemoine; brothers, Richard and Ronnie Lemoine; sister, Benita Olivier; nieces, Renee Duplessis, and Shirley McCarthy, as well as other numerous nieces and nephews; children, Sarah Shelly, Melissa Lemoine, and Paul Lemoine, Jr.

Also left to cherish shared memories include his grandchildren, Anna Wilson, Kimmy Shelly, Gracie Shelly, Carolina Coon, Heighden Lemoine, and Alexa Lemoine; and one great grandchild, Daisy Lynn Marie Wilson.

Our family would like to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during this time. Larry was truly one of a kind, a man who could touch all people. He will be sorely missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him.

Larry, my dear friend I will miss you. My heart dropped when I learn of this from your wife in my store today. I miss will our talks during your weekly visits to Brookshire. I really felt that I would see you soon, once I returned to the store. Until we meet again my friend. I will make sure Kathryn gets every special item she needs in my store!

Larry & my husband Robin whee very good friends in life & music! Thru Robin i met Larry! Larry was fun to be around happy,funny & talented! Proud to call him my friend! Kathryn he loved you & like myself left with a empty ,broken heart! Larry & Robin are making music in heaven! Larry will bemissed bye all!

Kathryn, I'm so sorry to hear about Larry's passing. He always had a smile on his face when he came in our office. It was easy to pick out glasses for him because he had a unique style and he never wavered from what he liked. Not to many people could pull off the style, but Larry definitely could. You will be in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

I can truly say that even through all the unpredictable surprises that life threw our way, they were the best years of my life.
