Funeral service for Katie Kathleen Sims of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, October 22, 2020 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 600 Highway 139, Monroe, LA. with Bro. Jerry Burns and Renita Hemphill officiating.
Interment will follow at Lone Cedar Cemetery in Winnsboro, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends for visitation, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the funeral home.

Katie was born September 2, 1940 and passed from this life October 19, 2020 at the age of 80.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Katie Smith; husband William Earl Sims; sisters, Dianne, Robbie Dean, and Janice; grandchild, Wanda Faye Sims, and Great grandchild, Holden Sims.

Those left to cherish her memories include children, Connie Wallace and husband Randy, Raymond Sims and wife Nancy, James Thigpen and wife Susan, Tammie Oliveaux and husband Gary, and Deborah Roberson and husband Levelle; brothers and sisters, Roger, Mike, Sophie, and Bessie; also survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
