Obituary for Kathryn Elizabeth Burns
Kathryn (Katie) Elizabeth Burns, 40, passed from this life on May 4, 2022 at her home in West Monroe, LA. She was born in Morgantown, WV to Georgianna and Roger Burns. She was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Georgianna Burns.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons Jordan Cherry of Ruston, LA and Caleb Dartez of Texas; her brother Patrick (Leslie Lala) Burns and their two sons Avery and Everett of Baton Rouge, LA; and her father, Roger Burns of Morgantown, WV.
Katie was beloved by her friends and family and will be especially missed by her sons and nephews. She was a movie fanatic and an avid animal lover who would rescue any stray dog or cat that she came across giving them a home in her house and in her heart.
She will be laid to rest at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA at a later date in a private memorial service held for her family and close friends.
