Obituary for Joy D Frith
Funeral services for Mrs. Joy Dell Frith of Downsville, LA will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA with Bro. Robert Taylor officiating.
Interment will follow at Wilhite Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday, December 9, 2019, from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
Joy Dell Frith was born on July 31, 1935 and passed from this life on December 6, 2019, at the age of 84.
She loved spending time outdoor fishing, tending her flowers, and being with her family. She was a member of the Secret Sisters Group of the Wilhite Methodist Church. Joy also owned a convenience store in Downsville.
Joy Frith is preceded in death by her parents, Pete Jones and Marie Tidwell Jones; brother, James “Bob” Edward Jones and significant other Glenn Acree.
Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Carl Frith and wife Rhonda of Downsville, LA; son, Dennis Frith of West Monroe, LA; three brothers, Charles Ray Jones, Steve William Jones, Earl Wayne Jones; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren; Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
Serving pallbearers are Glen Elmore, Tommy Burkett, Daryl Williams, Harold Lary, Randy Magee, Richard Armstrong.
