Funeral services for Pervis John "Johnny" Henley, Jr. of Calhoun, LA will be held at 11:00am, Monday, October 26, 2020 at Amazing Grace Worship Center in West Monroe with Bro. Artie Beebe officiating.

Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe.

Johnny was born October 24, 1955, in Monroe, LA and passed from this life October 23, 2020, in Calhoun, LA, after a lengthy illness, one day shy of his 65th birthday.

Johnny worked as a machinist for over 40 years, most recently for 25 years at Voith. He enjoyed hunting and watching deer in the back yard.

He is preceded in death by his father, Pervis Henley, Sr. and mother, Elva B. McCurry.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 33 years, Sylvia Cotten Henley; son, Johnny Keith Henley, and daughters Kristy Calloway (Gary) and Brandy Conville (Don), 5 grandchildren, and a host of friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Dickens, Adam Daughtry, Rusty Conville, Larry Conville, Waylon Dockens, and Joe Costa; Ralph Beebe serving as honorary pallbearer.

In a word, Johnny was loyal. Though he is gone from our midst, he is not gone from our hearts.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Johnny at Voith. He was such a quiet gentle soul that you knew you could count on. He was truly missed when he left Voith with his illness. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. We can now rejoice knowing that Johnny is in the most wonderful place with our Savior. You mattered Johnny. Psalm 119. Joy and Buddy Wall
