Memorial Services celebrating the life of Mr. Johnny Wayne Atkins of Downsville, LA will be held at 1pm, September 14, 2019 at Sardis Baptist Church, 367 Sardis Church Rd., Farmerville, LA. under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Johnny was born in Farmerville, LA at Union General Hospital to Nell & James Atkins on February 3, 1953. He attended school at West Monroe. He worked in many different fields from a brick layer to Power Lineman, but was an Electrician by trade!
Johnny is preceded in death by Mother, Nell Hinton Henry; Father, James Ladell Atkins; Brother, James Ladell Atkins Jr.; Brother In Law, William Dennis, Partner of more than 20 years – Kelly Dumas!
Johnny is survived by Sister, Linda Blakley Stricko and husband Al Stricko; Sisters, Elizabeth “Sissy” Atkins Dennis, Wanda Atkins Rowell and husband Tex Rowell, Rose Atkins Sims and husband Doug Sims; Brothers, Tommy Henry and wife Lisa Henry; Brother, Joey Atkins and wife Shelly Atkins, Danny Atkins and wife Misty Atkins; one grandchild, Kourtnie Kern; Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
