Obituary for Jesse E. Brown
Graveside services for Mr. Jesse E. Brown of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00PM Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Hasley Memorial Pavilion in West Monroe with Bro. Eugene Brown officiating. Interment will directly follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until 1:50PM Monday at Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mr. Brown was born August 28, 1943 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on May 12, 2021 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 77. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war, and during his life, was a “jack of all trades” but mainly worked doing paint and body auto repairs. He enjoyed purchasing vehicles of all kinds. Jesse was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ella Brown; his grandson, Hunter Adams; and his brother, Gregory Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Judy Brown; his children, Pam Minor and husband, John, Cindy Howard and husband, Steve, Kay Johnston, Tina Brown, Ricky Brown and wife, Tracy, Jesse Brown, Jr., and Donna Holliman; one brother, Rev. Eugene Brown and wife, Jane; nine grandchildren, Chad Minor, Heather Brown, Jason Underwood, Mark Underwood, Jr., Travis Blaylock, Justin Johnston, Erica Balch, Shonna Evans and Kelley Howard; also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason Underwood, Mark Underwood, Jr., Chad Minor, Justin Johnston, Chad Balch and Travis Blaylock. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Howard, John Minor and Adam Brown.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Jesse’s special nurse, Angela Jones for her loving care during his time of illness.
