Obituary for Jeff David McGuffee
Funeral services for Jeff David McGuffee, 53, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held Friday, August 21, 2020 at 11 am in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home located at 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA with pastor Harry Lilly officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday August 20th from 5-8 pm.
Jeff was born December 20, 1966 and passed from this life on August 17, 2020.
He was employed with Graphic Packaging for 21yrs. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, and papaw. Jeff loved going on adventures with his best friend and precious wife Kathy who he loved dearly. He was a loving father to Kacee, Seth and Brett and devoted Papaw to Madison and Marlee Barrios. Jeff was a faithful member of Bethany Church. Jeff loved the Lord with all of his heart. He took every opportunity to show his love for God in everything he did. Jeff loved reading his bible and studying God’s word to make him continue his close relationship with God. Jeff was the life of the party at every family function we had. He was always cracking jokes and was the loudest person in the room. He loved to make everyone laugh and smile. His family is comforted in knowing he is in heaven with his Lord.
Jeff is preceded in death by his brother, Durrell, who he loved very much.
Survivors left to cherish his memories is his loving wife, Kathy McGuffee of West Monroe, LA; children, Kacee Barrios (Damian), Seth McGuffee (Amber), and Brett McGuffee (Samantha), and two grandchildren, Madison and Marlee Barrios. Jeff also leaves behind his parents, Merwyn Sr. (Mac) and Maryann McGuffee and many extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers include Chris Wills, Seth McGuffee, Brett McGuffee, Damian Barrios, Durwood Welch, and Blake Wooten.
