Funeral service celebrating the life of Jay L. Perdue of Ruston, LA., will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, May 26, 2022 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA.
Family will receive friends for visitation 10:00am until time of service at the funeral home.

Jay was born August 27, 1955, in Monroe, LA. And went to be with his Lord on Monday, May 23, 2022, in Ruston, LA.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joe G. Perdue, mother, Jo Ann Perdue, sister, Cynthia J. Perdue, and brother, Joe K. Perdue.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 39 years, Connie Perdue, son, Jason Perdue, stepdaughter, Brandy Shannon and Toby, grandchildren, Hunter Perdue, Bentley Perdue, Katelynn Shannon, Kaleb Shannon, Kristen Rowton and Codie, great grandchildren, Amariah Rowton, Samuel Rowton, and Isabelle Rowton; also survived by a host of family and friends that hold a special place in his heart.

Jay had a love for the road. His job as a truck driver was his passion and it showed with dedication for over 35 years. He met so many dear friends and made so many memories along the way.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Jay will never be forgotten and always be treasured.
