Funeral services for Janice Barmore Smith will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in the Chapel of Griffin Funeral home of Monroe, LA, at 11am, with Ricky Baker officiating. Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Interment will follow at mineral Springs Cemetery in Ruston, LA.
Mrs. Janice Smith was born on December 7, 1941 and passed from this life on November 23, 2019, at the age of 77. She was one who loved going outdoors to hunt, fish, and work on cars.
Janice Smith is preceded in death by her parents Robert Bailey and Estelle Bailey; her son, Tyler Smith; and her husband of 57 years, Vic Smith.
Those left to cherish the memory of Janice Smith include her daughter, Pam Smith and Husband Ray of Start, LA; daughter Vickie Smith of Sterlington, LA; sister Sandra Russell of Monroe, LA; brother, Jim Bailey; five grandchildren, Jada Matlock. Jana Holman, Ashley Smith, Laryn Navarro, Lyndsey Navarro; 3 great grandchildren, Gauge Smith, Railyn Holman, River Holman; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ray Smith, BJ Jones, James Matlock, Bubba Wilson, Dillard Winn, and Scott Winn.
