James Donald Parker “Don (Cowboy) was born June 23, 1949 and passed away September 26, 2023 at the age of 74. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Don spent 6 years in the U.S. Marine Corp. in which he was very proud to have served his country. He loved to dance, fish, fix anything that was broken. He was an avid marksman and enjoyed working on firearms of all kinds. Don was an amazing cook, some would call him a chef, and enjoyed grilling and using his smoker. He worked most of his lifetime in the construction world, primarily as a certified weld inspector. Don was a highly regarded expert in his field and traveled across the U.S. and multiple countries performing the inspections for major projects. Don was fluent in multiple languages and never met a stranger. Don was a leader of “men” wherever he traveled. Don, otherwise known as Cowboy, will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Winnie Parker.
Left to cherish his memory are his lifelong best friends, Coleen Dwire, Tony Sarti, Brian Sik, Brandon Sik, Michael Larson, Haley Pitman, Ronnie Long, Shane Long, Garrett Ward, Nicholas Ward.
Also survived by all the friends who loved this very special man who were his “family”.
