Obituary for James Wesley King
Memorial service for Mr. James Wesley King will be 10:00am June 17, 2020 at the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home of West Monroe, 911 Warren Drive with Bro. Joel Hines officiating. Visitation will take place June 16, 2020 at the chapel.
James King was born on April 2, 1944 and passed from this life on June 13, 2020, at the age of 76. He loved spending his time hunting deer and being with his family.
Mr. King is preceded in death by his parents, Burt and Laura Kelly; brother, Leroy “Bo” Kelly; sisters, Peggy Taylor and Laura Taylor.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 58 years, Millie King; daughter, Kim Rowlan and husband Johnny of Winnfield, LA; son, Jamie King and wife Rita of Vixen, LA; son, Kevin King and wife Danna of Vixen, LA; sister, Jackie Mayes and husband Bruce of Haughton, LA; sister, Sandra Denmon and husband Johnny of Gilbert, LA; special brother-in-law, Floyd Newsom; grandchildren, Stephanie Sonier and husband David, Wesley Schwieger and wife Torrie, Jeremy Schwieger, Ashley Deese and husband Cody, Destinty Murphy, Jake King, Meagan Martin and husband Matt, Amanda Norred and husband Stephen, Ryan Chenault, Quentin Andrusia and wife Bailey, Zach King; and nineteen great grandchildren; best friend, Jojo King; and a host of nieces nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Schwieger, Nathan Schwieger, David Sonier, Jake King, Zach King, and Quentin Andrusia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Skip Dupree, Mark Kinnison, Kenny Hearne, and Members of Vixen Hunting Club.
