Obituary for James "Pastell" Futch
Funeral Service celebrating the life of Mr. James Robert Futch “Pastell” of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00pm Friday, January 3, 2020 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe with Matt Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Farmerville, under the direction of Griffi Griffin Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 5pm – 8pm at the funeral home.
James was born March 20, 1941 and passed from this life on December 29, 2019 at the age of 78.
He loved to fish, hunt, golf, and cook. He was a musician, most of all, he loved to spending time with his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Sanford Futch, brother, William “Bill” Sanford Futch, Jr., Edward Cole, Leverett Cole, Thomas Futch, Bruce Futch, and sister, Bertha Jean Elee.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Futch; son, James Timothy Futch; daughter, Connie Dianne Reeveas and husband Ricky, and Donna Faye Little; grandchildren, Ashley Dickens and husband Chris, Brittney Head, Blake Head and wife Madolyn, Dustin Little, Braxton Reeveas; brother, Donald Futch and wife Bobby; Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and his fans.
Pallbearers to honor Mr. Futch will be Don Head, John Crow, Kenny McCallum, Mike Elee, Roy Elee, and Carl Bamburg. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Head and Braxton Reeveas.
