Obituary for Imogene Blaylock

Funeral service celebrating the life of Imogene Blaylock of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Rowland Road Baptist Church, Monroe with Pastor John Yates & Pastor Norman Bryant officiating.

Interment will follow at Stevenson Cemetery in Rayville, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends for visitation, Friday, February 14, 2020 from 5pm – 8pm at the church.

Imogene was born November 29, 1927 and passed from this life on February 12, 2020 at the age of 92.
She was part of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed making and painting porcelain dolls, she loved to crochet, and also enjoyed arts and crafts. Imogene was known as a great cook, and a special caregiver, she loved her family unselfishly; she also loved to work at Chef Hanns and Simpson’s gas station.
She is preceded in death by her husband David Blaylock; son, Willie Owen Blaylock; three brothers, Orland Shelton Moore, Hill Tollison Moore, Perry Lynn Moore; one sister, Nancy Eunice Cain.
Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Sandra B. Smith and husband L.D. of Monroe, Everett Blaylock and wife Linda of Epps, Ester Blaylock of Monroe, James Blaylock and wife Connie of Start; sister, Sarah France Moore Johnson of Star City, AR; eleven grandchildren, Scott Smith and wife Lisa, Todd smith and wife Heather, Hope Pittman and husband John, Carl Blaylock and wife Wendy, Brandon Blaylock and wife Jana, Christy Blaylock and Daryl, Ricky Blaylock and wife Betty, Melissa Lively and husband Matt, Tena Mooris and husband Kevin, Michelle Adcox and husband Daryl, and Casey Blaylock; twenty great-grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Allen Michael Smith, Jordan Smith, Christopher Smith, Dylan Woolsey, Hunter Pitman, Hannah Jennings, Braxton Morris, Wyatt Adcox, Savannah Adcox, Lizzie Adcox, Marissa Blaylock, Isaac Blaylock, Dakota Bryant, Cheyenne Bryant, Harleigh Blaylock, Katherine Hughes, Jenny Jinks, Lillian Lively, Mason Blaylock; six great-great-grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Kaydence Woolsey, Hayden Hughes, Addie Hughes, Gabe Hughes, Olivia Parker; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers serving include, Christopher Smith, Allen Michael Smith, Dylan Woolsey, Hunter Pittman, Wyatt Adcox, Dakoto Bryant, and Jordan Smith.
