Graveside services for Ms. Helen Catherine Ragland will be held at 12:00PM, Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Lowe officiating.
Helen was born in Lake Providence, LA, on June 8, 1944, and passed from this life on October 19, 2022, at her home in Shreveport, LA at the age of 78.
She was an office manager before she retired, and after she retired; she got to spend more time doing what she loved most, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Fred Cummings; mother, Modie Holmes; stepfather, Buford Holmes; former husband, Thomas “Bubby” Ragland; great-grandson, Hayden Ragland.
Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Thomas “Tommy” Ragland of Lake Providence, LA; daughter, Terri Ragland of Shreveport, LA; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Bobby Martin of West Monroe, LA; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Debbie Cummings of Bella Vista, AR; sister, Joyce Wiman of Monroe, LA.
She also leaves behind granddaughters, Katherine Ragland and her fiancé, Brian Fulco, Amanda Graves, and Jessica Ragland of Shreveport, LA; grandson, Landon Ragland of Oak Grove, LA; great grandchildren, Ainzleigh Ragland, Maliyah Graves, and Logan “Kamden” Ragland all of Shreveport, LA; her dear friend Sherry Starks; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind Tucker and Nova, her four-legged friends.
