Harvey Ray Ellis, SR., 84, of Marion, LA was born on November 17, 1935 and passed from this life on July 2, 2020. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. He served in the US Air Force and was stationed in England. Upon return to the states, he worked in the oilfield industry and ended up as a petroleum consultant and spent many days working overseas.

He was lovingly known as “Gabby” by his friends and family. His nickname was a reflection of his personality. He loved traveling and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by those he left behind.

Mr. Ellis is preceded in death by his son, Clifford Ray Ellis; parents, Willie Ellis of Forest, LA, and Amanda Louise Day of Marion, LA; four brothers, grandson, Clifford Ray Ellis, JR.
Survivors left to cherish his memories include his wife of 60 years, Kiola Ellis of Marion, LA.
Also left to cherish his memories include his children, Judy Ellis Andrews and husband Steven of Marion, LA; Harvey Ellis, JR. and wife Laurie of Marion, LA; brothers, Preston Dale Ellis of El Dorado, AR, and Billy Tom Ellis of Weathford, TX; seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
