Obituary for Gerald Wayne Bryant

Mr. Gerald Wayne Bryant was born on May 31, 1943 and passed from his life on February 16, 2023 at the age of 79. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He also enjoyed membership with the Grand Lodge State of Louisiana Free and Accepted Masons Urim Lodge #111 for more than 50 years and at the time of his death was in good standing with the lodge. Wayne graduated from Ouachita Parish High School and retired from Lance, Inc. He served on the reserved units for Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office and Monroe Police Department. He loved to read, watch baseball, football and western movies, especially Gunsmoke, and travel in his RV

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edna Bryant; sister, Elsie "Buggs" Newcomer; brothers, CD and Bradford Bryant; and his four-legged companion for 18 years, Quincy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Lisa Bryant McNease and Cindy Bryant Stine; sister Doris Cloud; brother, Joe Bryant; nieces, Deborah Newcomer Foley and Lizette "Lisa" Bryant; nephew, George Bradford "Buddy" Bryant, Jr; grandson, Bryant Deviller; granddaughters, MorganToney, Mallory Lawrence and Madison Woods; loving life-long friend, Sonia "Lulu" Heckard; great nieces, Deidra Foley Adair and Nicole Foley Cabello and great nephews, Robert Brandon Foley and Nathan Bradford Bryant.

A private family memorial for Mr. Bryant will be held at Lake Bruin on a later date.
