Obituary for Geneva Faye Stodghill
Celebration of life for Geneva Faye Stodghill of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, September 25, 2022 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA., with Dionne Chamblee officiating.
Family will receive friends for visitation 1:00pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Geneva was born April 3, 1936, and passed from this life September 18, 2022, at the age of 86. She enjoyed reading Readers Digest, crossword puzzles, sewing, and loved genealogy above all, she was a grandmother to many and welcomed everyone she came in contact with, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She loved her fur baby, Maddie and enjoyed her family very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ruth Jones, brothers, Billy, Carl, Bobby, and Ralph Jones; sister, Jeanetta Jones.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of nearly 52 years, Duane Stodghill; sister, Mildred Whisnant; children, John Keene, Daniel “Dan” Keene, Jennifer Stodghill, Sherry Stodghill, Curtis Stodghill, and Melissa Soyring; nine grandchildren, Christy, Frannie, Joseph, Daniel, Marian, Allison, Hannah, April, David, Duane, Robert “Rob”, and Krystina; ten great-grandchildren, Mallory, Madelyn, Madan, Khaleesi, Della, Adalyn, Aubrey, Annaleigh, Jade, and Autumn; also survived by special friends, Dianne Green, Elsie, and Lillian, and a host of extended family and friends.
