A small memorial gathering for Ms. Geneva McIntyre of Calhoun, LA will be from 2:00pm until 4:00pm Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Dickson Home, 267 Jim Finley Rd. Calhoun, LA 71225. Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.
Ms. McIntyre was born February 14, 1930 in Harrisonburg, LA and passed from this life on June 15, 2019 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 89. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart for over 30 years. She loved her work family from Wal-Mart. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her family was her life. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene McIntyre; her son, James William McIntyre; her parents, James and Bertie Harville; and one sister, Betty Dunn.
Survivors include her children, Rita McIntyre of West Monroe and Sharon Dickson and husband, Scott of Calhoun; one sister, Faye Kelly of Monroe; ten grandchildren, Jason McIntyre and Justin McIntyre both of Shreveport, Jessica Walters and wife, Bridgette of West Monroe, Brandon Redmond and Jade Redmond, both of West Monroe, Kriston Brogden and wife, Jessica of West Monroe, and Delton, Jordan, Laurel and Logan Dickson, all of Calhoun; six great-grandchildren, Kait, Victoria, Jammeson, Sarah Kate, Casper and Piper; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
