Floyd James Cowart Jr. was born on December 6, 1955 and passed from this life on September 5, 2020 at the age of 64. He was a native of Winnsboro and retired maintenance repair man for Monroe General Maintenance. James loved tending to his bees and cooking for his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Amelia “Millie” Cowart; father, Floyd J. Cowart, Sr.; and brother, Charles R. Cowart.
Those left to cherish his memories include his daughter Brandi Rodriguez and husband Jake; son, Christopher J. Cowart; step-daughter, Melissa Dean and husband Jessie of Hawaii; sister, Margaret Ann Couvillier and husband Larry; brother, Tommy L. Cowart; grandchildren, Evelyn Cowart, Layken Rodriguez, and Raphael “Ray” Rodriguez V; nephews, Gregory Couvillier, Curtis Couvillier, and Troy Cowart; and a host of extended friends and family.
