Obituary for Eunice Herring
Funeral service for Mrs. Eunice Herring, 76, of West Monroe, LA, will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Dr, West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Ty Shirey officiating. Interment to follow in Crossroads Cemetery, under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Herring was born on August 17, 1943 in Farmerville to the union of Mittie Dean Downs and Henry Downs, and passed from this life on October 4, 2019 in West Monroe, La. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mittie Downs; sisters, Helena Patrick, Nevessa Dumas, and June Holton.
Survivors left the cherish her memory are her children, Tye Sharpe and wife Brandie, Jennifer Wilson and husband Donnie, Kim Hardie and husband Jerry, and Scott Herring and wife Angie; grandchildren, Matthew Sharpe, Savanna Vines, Brianna Vines, Makayla Sharpe, Tyler Sharpe, Ashley Wilson, Meridith Scarborough and husband Tyler, Abigail Garza, Zachary Garza, Dylan Hardie and wife Secret, Kaylan Hardie, Ashlyn Herring, and Brayden Herring; great-grandchild, Zayne Sharpe; sisters, Carol Hay, Ann Bonner, Erma Harp, Evonne Peoples, Kathy Beth, and Julie Hale; and brothers, Dale Downs and Ralph Downs. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Sharpe, Tyler Sharpe, Tyler Scarborough, Zachary Garza, Shane Hale, Rocky Bonner, Jeremy Hay, and Jamee Scarborough.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brayden Herring, Terry Dumas, and Eric Holton.
