Ella Louise Dudley passed away from this life to her eternal home peacefully on August 14, 2020 at the age of 85. She was born April 28, 1935 to the union of Rev. JT and Helen Peoples in Dora, Alabama. She married in 1953 and shared a long beautiful life with her husband, Rev. John C. Dudley who preceded her in death in 2008. She was known as Sister Dudley by most and found the most joy in life by serving others as a Pastor’s Wife at West Monroe, LA Church of God for 42 years. Sister Dudley was the director of the Ladies Ministry, Willing Workers, Accounting and Children’s Church. She was well known for her outstanding cooking and baking skills, and only a select few actually know the secrets to her famous cheesecake. She was a talented musician and played the organ or piano every church service she attended. She loved her church family dearly and spent countless hours at the hospitals and nursing homes visiting and praying with those in need. To her family she was known as Mama. She could always make every holiday and occasion special and enjoyed any opportunity to set her table for Family. Her hands were rarely still. Her life was spent in constant motion doing for others. She was a loving caring ministers’ wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be truly missed.

She is survived by her two children; daughter Cathy Bedenbender, husband Philip, and son Jacky Dudley; brother Paul David Peoples; grandchildren Misti Chavis and husband Levi, Angel Ploch and husband Ryan, Kristen Bedenbender and fiancé Phill, Philip “PJ” Bedenbender and wife Kaitlin and Lindsay Dudley; great grandchildren Stephen, Catelyn, Cassidy and fiancé Kirk, Annabelle, Javon, Abigail, JaMarion, Kahlyn, Adam, Colt “Gunner”, Gage, King, Ella, Lilah and Ensley; great-great granddaughter Myla.
