Obituary for Edward Eugene Mobley
Funeral services for Mr. Edward Eugene Mobley of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Community of Christ in Eros with Rev. Ellis Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, May 31, 2019 at the church.
Mr. Mobley was born December 12, 1927 in Eros, LA and passed from this life on May 29, 2019 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 91. Edward was a very easy-going, loving, kind, generous father, grandfather and father-in-law. He loved his family and his church with endless love. He enjoyed working in the yard, especially raking leaves. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and grandsons. He would talk about the Bible with anyone who would listen. He always knew he would be with God. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Poe Mobley; his parents, Aubrey and Lavert Mobley; one son, Ricky D. Mobley; one daughter, Lisa R. Mobley; one granddaughter, Jessica Mobley Walle; and one brother, Freddie F. Mobley.
Survivors include his children, Gary Mobley, Doyle Mobley and wife, Debra, and Dewaine Mobley and wife, Allison; sister, Eloise Guimbellott; also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Mobley, Clifton Mobley, Brandon Mobley, John Clampit, Corby Johnson, Cory Arnold and Randy Bush.
