Family Services for Mrs. Dorothy Burroughs Cobb will be 1:00pm Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Beresford Funeral Home in Houston, Texas with Pastor Jeff Campbell officiating. Private Burial will be 2:30pm Monday, March 11, 2019 at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.
Dorothy Burroughs Cobb was born December 2, 1936 in Rayville, LA and passed away on March 6, 2019 in Houston, TX at age of 82. Dorothy retired from Municipal Employees Retirement System in Baton Rouge in 1999. "Maw-Maw" devoted her retired life to her greatest joy, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George James Burroughs and Florence Smith Burroughs of Monroe, LA; her husband, Charles R. Cobb of Monroe, La. Sister, Ginger Pike of Monroe, Brother, Bill Burroughs of Monroe, La.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Tina Cobb Rabalais, (Ernie) of Josephine, Al, Karen Cobb LeBlanc, (Russ) of Houston, TX, her grandchildren, Justin Branham (Kaitlin) of Foley, AL, Krista Cobb of Houston, TX, Cory LeBlanc of Houston, TX and great-grandchildren, Jayla, Cameron, Javen, Devin, Ryleigh Branham and Gunnar Branham; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
May the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
