Funeral services for Ms. Doris McBroom Lee of West Monroe LA will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00am at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church West Monroe, LA with Rev. Warner Aswell officiating.
Interment will follow at New Chapel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10am until time of service at the church.
Doris was born in Monroe, LA on August 24, 1930, and passed away in Baton Rouge, LA on May 15, 2019. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School and attended Northeast Louisiana State College. Mrs. Lee was retired from Riverwood International and the Ouachita Parish School Board.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy C. and Addie Thompson McBroom; brothers, R. C. Mc Broom, Jr., Jimmy McBroom, and sister, Jo Dunn.
Doris McBroom Lee is survived by her daughter, Wanda Wise and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Wendy Wise Hogan and husband Michael, Tommy Wise, Jr. and wife Shannon, Danny Wise and wife Michelle; great-grandchildren Jack Hogan, Kyla Wise, Tommy Wise III, Andrew Hogan, Timmy Wise and Will Hogan; sisters Virginia Stevens, Brenda Trisler, Joyce Albritton and husband Dub, Shirley Bacon and husband Woody; brother Benny McBroom; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
